A few pictures of my Cm570 build so far . Acid bathed the block , tunnel bored mains . Counter bores cleaned up and decked the block for 0.014" protrusion . Crack tested, balanced and polished crank. I'll up load a few pictures as I go .
I love it. What's the goal? I built a cat like that last year, no vibrations, smooth as silk. Yours looks great so far. Keep us posted

I'm very happy with the one I have.
Looks really good so far. always like to see pics of quality work.
This is gunna be large! Is it an 871 getting turned into a 570 or a 570 to begin with?

Hopefully I'll end up with a nice smooth engine that will last good while to support my family, it's hard to find someone around here that is interested in putting any sort of effort outside of slapping one together. The crank required 60 grams to be removed, which is probably not a lot considering the weight of the counterweights , and a piston/ rod combo is just over 10kg .
Will be a slow and steady build as I get time from driving.
Got the crank in and all torqued up and checked float . Came in nicely with 0.010" . Block is now rotated and back into a crate/frame for the rest of the building. All liners are in and nice and straight at 0.014". On rod needed bushing but the rest are straight and needed nothing but a thorough clean.

It's an 07 build 570 , late model block with provisions for egr if required at any point
Bit of progress on Sunday, flywheel housing on and nice and true . Rear main seal installed. Timing housing on and lower scissor gear in along with the idler gear . Brand new head is on and torqued up to 300ftlb until I can get back on next weekend. Going along smoothly so far
