Easy crap delete probly has the same exact program as the 12 even though the engines are completely different. End of story.

Took it in for a EGR/DPF delete..I know I know I prolly shouldn’t have :)
After delete my idle rpm is higher than normal and my MPG went way down! Used to be close to 7 now around 5mpg. I believe it’s something with the ecm tune?? I had this same shop do a delete on my 2012 Pete about a year ago and haven’t had any problems.
Any help?????
Much appreciated:)

You have a bad delete, drive at your own risk. Odds are the cans are still intact and a myriad of other issues that will soon be rearing their ugly head. Get ahold of uni or Mr Hagg and get this fixed, unless you have deep pockets and like drama in your life as you go broke.
Hello everyone

I am an owner operator and i have a peterbilt 379-2007. I recently had my issue with pyro going very high and making the red light come on many times and i went to mechanic he told me to get a new turbo. I got new turbo installed but my pyro was still going into red then he did some fixes and the pyro stopped going into red but now in hard pull it reached up to 10 or 10.5 normally runs 7-9.

The main issue since i got new turbo is my boost it doesnt go over 25-28 in hills. I drive in British Columbia canada. My back pressure for jakes at high also doesnt wanna cross the same 25-28 psi. I also replaced air charger cooler cz there was minor leak but no change in boost even after spending all this money.

Please help me

Is this an ISX? Do you know what the mechanic did to the motor? How many miles on the motor? When was the last time an overhead was done? Head replaced? Any tuning on the motor other than factory? Any funny black boxes? is it an OEM turbo, or did they install something that was not meant to be there? As you can tell, need more info...

yes its an ISX cm870 and it is EGR deleted. initially I had trouble with my high jakes working at same level at medium with back pressure at 12-15 max. then I was suggested to get a new turbo and before that new turbo my pyro started going higher and higher as the summer came then I got new turbo with new software (as told by mechanic) now I dot know if that software created this low boost beacause the old turbo was making proper boost only problem with that one was pyro and jakes other than that it was making boosts unto 38 and used to climb hills at 32-34.

the motor was rebuilt at 1.7m and now it has 2.2m. new turbo was bought from dealership.
Bad tune brother, your cooking the motor.... Need to get that fixed, install the correct turbo, or did they install the correct one? Me, I would put the EGR back in along with a factory OEM Cummins file. You are just destroying your motor the way it is. Or call Mr Hagg down in GA .

One of the most common bad delete programs used for CM870's will spike the boost and then let it fall back to only about 32~ish psi. This is because the delete programming used is terrible, and it is still derating the boost, exhaust temps go too high and it shortens the life of the turbo and engine. - not too many ppl can properly make programs for 870's.

or like others have said... take it to Mr. Hags. to have the program looked at and replaced.

-- You are pissing up-wind until you get that programming squared away. Most that bad programming comes from the morons who hang out on those truck tuning and engine tuning sites. - That is where most of these horrible programs that all the shops use any more come from and they do nothing but tear up engines.

If you have an adapter and a laptop, your welcome to pull the program out of it yourself and e-mail it to me for a review. I will tell you if it is any good or not.

some of them are really bad and the truck owner has no idea the engine is trying to destroy itself internally... here is just one of these fine examples: http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?t...6#pid54046

That’s exactly whTs happening it spikes to 38-39 but then falls to 26-28 when going uphill. The program on my truck was done by someone in states using teamviewer. My mechanic doesn’t do programming but i can use his computer to have it looked by someone better. I will try to ask my mechanic if he can pull out that program and have it emailed to me so i can send you.

I have tried to contact unilevers on this forum but haven’t heard back anything from them.

As i live in canada i wont be able to visit these shops in the states. I can have it connected to computer and use teamviewer.

Chris at Price's Diesel will work remote, and I understand Mr Hagg will too. I would call them and see what they can do. One of them should be able to help you out.
