Insite says ECM warning internal hardware failure - bad intelligent device or component. The driver said the truck ran fine all gauges read normal. It's now inactive with 1 count. Any idea's ?

What year make model truck? mileage? some history and detail?

If it sits a lot, maybe a ground wire or corrosion in a power supply somewhere? -- could also be battery backed mem module in ECM going bad and loosing memory if it sits a lot?.
Just some abstract guessing here.
Possibly have it re-flashed and see if it goes away?.

It's under warranty but they aren't going to re flash it just because I ask them to. And I don't really want to take it there and let it sit for a week until they get around to poking and prodding it.
