Manual says to find tdc on first cylinder. Is there any marks like on cummins a,b,c..to find tdc?
Also detroit requires special tool to bar the engine. Is this tool same for 2010-2018 engines?
Do you have a service manual.
If not, maybe you find one on ebay

I have one but its 2010. The truck is 2017.
You don’t actually need that special tool, but it is more convenient to use.
There is a small cover under the bottom of the flywheel. Open it up and just use a large screwdriver to lever it over.
Okay for small moves, but for larger moves the tool is handy.

I saw they sell one on ebay for $120
The easiest way to get TDC on a DD platform is to line the marks on the cams up.
Using timing tool right?
