So long story short, I did a EGR tune up, had DPF cleaned, did forced regens, etc. I've replaced all my pressure and temp sensors on the DPF and SCR units under the truck, NOx sensor, and pretty much every thing Rawze explains to do during an EGR tune up. The truck is still regening too much, like every 300 miles. Kinda puzzled on what else could possibly be malfunctioning. Any thought or ideas?
How much idling do you do, and how much blowby do you have? Are those parked regens?
I don't have any blowby from what I can tell, I don't idle, and those regens every 300 miles are regens going down the road. They last about 50 miles or so I'm figuring. Twice a day. My regen switch in the truck is on the "auto" position. I haven't tried putting it in the "off" position yet
You are doing better than me. My truck regens about every 175 miles or so. Lasts 40-50 miles/minutes. I have a 2013 Volvo.
Got the same deal with mine as well. Passive Regen every day, sometimes twice a day too. Truck had a DPF cleaning a couple months back.
That is about normal, but it is costing you fuel mileage.
Souds about right for most trucks. No lights in the dash and regen every 300 - 350 miles or so. More often if you are shifting a lot (or driving in neutral) because it will cancel the cycle and have to start again a while later.
My 2350 2014 isx does the regen every 102--104 hours as per the printouts that I get from the dealer., when I go in for whatever reason......last one I got in February when went in to fix GI (((grease interval)) Eaton ultra., and have engine updates...
I cannot actually see when it does it, but after 3 y driving it I learn that the first drive axle temp goes up(((I have the weed burner exhaust ))) and I cannot keep the instant fuel mileage average on the dash as high(((driving it with the foot 95% of the time))) in the regen time... 260 k miles now
