Im looking to see if i can find the parameters for my truck my cruise wont activate. And i need to be able to get my rpms high in order to unload bulk trailer? Any help is apreciated

well you might be able to just hold resume button even with no cruise to get them up. if that doesnt work try just tapping the resume over and over see if RPMs go up granted would have to tap tap tap on set to get them back down. but if truck had working cruise and not working now something is wrong in the electronics or switches.


could also get out the trusty brick move it into accel pedal till it gets to right rpm.


To diagnose you need insite 7.6.2 or newer on a laptop and an inline 5 or 6 connector for the truck side if there are no codes in insite you can check the features and parameters section to make sure the cruise isnt turned off in the computer.

I did tap the accel switch and it only revs up to 800rpms. But i need them higher in order to unload propperly.
Ive changed the switches already checked the wireing and everything i could think of.
It still gives me fault 784(addaptive cruise control)

adaptive sounds like you have the radar sensors on the truck and their faulting causing no cruise.

You need to use Insite and turn on your PTO switch under parameters. Then tell it your max rpm, initial bump RPM, how many RPM's you want it to bump up with every hit... Basically set up your whole deal.
