Asking out of curiosity after talking with a fellow member about it. So the standard oil thermostat is set to open at 235F degrees, and removing them is out of the question. Is there any real benefit to install a 215F oil thermostat for example an anteater truck with the mandate still intact/in a high power setting or if you run an anteater truck maybe half power up a long grade on a 100degree day? This is also assuming there are no issues whatsoever with the engine except the lack of airflow from the truck it's mounted in.
I know of no advantage to it. 235 ensures moisture is kept driven off, 215 easily masks any issues you would have with the engine, like excess internal friction, etc.

Even with High HP applications, the second element is far more important that trying to use a lower temp thermostat.
