My door keeps locking me out. Like the first stage of door latch releases then something kinda slips or pops in the door latch then it’s locked. Luckily I carry a spare key in my wallet.

never had that issue if i open the door from the inside to get out ive never had it lock unless i put the key in the door and locked it myself.

Do you have a key fob, or just a key? When I purchased my truck, it came with a few keys, no key fob. I looked at the build sheet, and discovered I had keyless entry. I wonder if this is the case with your truck and the keyless entry sending unit is acting up? The sending unit is located in the passenger door, the window up down button assembly. Just a thought.
