I’ve heard people say different things about replacing injector cups, some say you can replace without removing the head, and some say you have to remove the head, please if anyone has experience with this help me out
I believe Cummins is remove head and put new head on. Not worth the effort to do injector cups. How many miles are on the head? They work harden fairly quickly.
Cummins sell a tool that installs injector cup retainer/crush rings in the head while it's still on the engine. I've had and heard of a very high success rate doing it this way. It isn't even that big of a job so it's worth a try.

Just need the injectors out and the rocker shafts removed.

This only works on CM2250 and 2350 engines. Fuel/coolant cross-contamination on a CM570/870/871 is only rectified by replacing the cylinder head.
670k on the motor, never been opened
my truck is at jerry's shop now fixing this problem. its a special tool to fix it and you dont need to take the had off. Cum2350 2015

I was getting a bit of water into my Water/Fuel separator. After a pressure test it was determined that I had an injector cup issue. Cummins did indeed replace all cups no head removal and so far 100k miles or so later no further issues.

they did not replace the cups, they used a tool to put the rings in the cups. to change the cups you have to change the head.
Does it make sense to install the seal rings on all cylinders even though only one is leaking?
When we do them, we do all 6
