Cheap inssurance, replace the electric transfer pump on Cm2250 isx
It may save your engine, mine failed and looks like it starved the main pump broke the ceramic plungers, and I may need an engine now.
Very easy took 30 min on the side of the road
Something is failing in mine 2350 too cause I see steel/aluminum like and copper like colored shavings in both w separator and f filter.....I do hear my transfer pump working upon turning on the power though
Have u seen any shavings in yours????? Was it making the noise that it would work???
How much is the pump?? Sorry to hear that...was your fuel main pump updated???

No shavings, and the main pump was the 2 piston with ceramic plungers,
It didnt give a hint of going out, it was $ 220 at a volvo dealer in cheyenne, wy
I changed the washers on the banjo bolts around $12 for 4 of them
The ceramic plungers are know to break over time and take out engine. How do you know it was the transfer pump? If you have ceramic you need to change them out asap!! How much is that transfer pump and what symptoms did you have?
Do you have the part # maybe later on in will swap out
Truck died wile driving on highway, stopped and dindt want to start,
Transfer pump was not turning on with ignition on, checked the voltage pump was getting 12+volts. Losend up the front banjo bolt no flow.
Got a rentacar and located a pump, installed it started fllowing and still didnt start,
Losend up the front banjo bolt on the rail to test the regulator it was good no fllow,
Banjo bolt at the back of main pump was getting planty fllow, how ever primary rail very little perssure wile cranking, on insite the pressure was only 200psi wile cranking it should be thiusands.
Did few more tests, all this with over the phone help of {***}.
Towed it to dealer and the opened the pump cover plungers were shattered
