I've had a few random incidents where when climbing a hill under full throttle that suddenly the engine gets quiet I lose power and all sudden the boost spikes all the incidents before last night boost may be spiked to 38 PSI but last night is Spike to almost 45 before I got off the pedal. So far every time getting off the pedal and then back on makes everything great again.

There's no codes I'm just wondering is this a failure of the controller or the turbo vgt ring? Or is it something else entirely?
I think your turbo is binding. Same thing happened to mine when the nozzle ring inside cracked.
sounds like a turbo inspection is in order...

guess ill have to find some time soon then...turbo was replaced with a YTS stage 2 about 1.5 years ago and reused the controller from old turbo.

let us know what you find.
Here lately we been finding that the data link going to turbo has been having issues since the same line is used for after-treatment system too. So may have to ohm data to turbo with it plugged in back prob connector it should be 60 ohms. unplugg it and ohm acuator it should be 120 and harness side should be 120
Checked resistant and it was good...doesn't mean it's fully good but at the time of testing it was....
