Full Version: Do Tappets need to be replaced on an ISX 12 2250 fuel pump?

Wondering if the ISX 12 has the ceramic tappets like the ISX 15’s? If they do can someone please give me all the part numbers for the ISX 12 and also ISX 15 fuel pump update because we have a few of those as well? Thanks.

It's not just the ceramic plungers you have to worry about, the steel ones fail too. They must be replaced every 400K mi. regardless of what they are made out of.

Thanks.What’s the equivalent in hours? These trucks get way more hours than miles since they only drive to the jobsite and then run the PTO for a crap load of hours.

Thats a X12 we dont see much failure in those like we do the isx15
