DLA's - Hammerhead - 09-26-2017 Hey guys, My Inline 5 DLA allows me to connect to the ABS Controller in my truck and the Bendix ACom software is free. BUT I cannot connect to the Cab Controller in my KW with an Inline 5. I know I have read on here to avoid the Chinese Nexiq adaptors as they are known to be flaky when working with the stuff we like to play with on here. I have seen JPRO as well on eBay, but they are quite pricey with their subscriptions as well. So here is where I'm looking for input; 1)Which DLA would you use? 2)Where would I look for one & price? 3)What am I looking to avoid? Pros, cons, knocks, loves, and what is it I don't know about that I'm not asking? RE: DLA's - RollinCoal - 09-26-2017 I've had my jpro box for years, hasn't failed me yet Dearborn or good (think inline is the same thing) I have used nexiq they seem to be about like the jpro Main thing is stay away from the China stuff ... I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for" Might also be why I've spent 20k with snap on lol RE: DLA's - Hammerhead - 09-26-2017 I dunno, we all seem to have no issues with Chinese knock off Inline 5's. I'm looking for an O/O solution, not the big investment for a shop option... RE: DLA's - Rawze - 09-26-2017 I have an official Nexiq I got from, fleet-pride. RE: DLA's - smorgan87 - 09-26-2017 Ive got a legit nexiq got from diesel laptops RE: DLA's - Hammerhead - 09-26-2017 (09-26-2017 )Rawze Wrote: I have an official Nexiq I got from, fleet-pride. RE: DLA's - Brock - 09-27-2017 I was looking for one a while back, ft Gary had em and Wajax. That's as far as I got them I realized I could use the detroit software with my inline. I couldn't get the inline to work with my cat though but that might have been a computer issue. I had a similar problem with my jpro, Allison doc and Detroit wouldn't connect but yet jpro software and Insite worked fine Removed and reinstalled the noregon driver and everything been working since RE: DLA's - smorgan87 - 09-27-2017 (09-26-2017 )Hammerhead Wrote:(09-26-2017 )Rawze Wrote: I have an official Nexiq I got from, fleet-pride.(09-26-2017 )smorgan87 Wrote: Ive got a legit nexiq got from diesel laptops I based my purchase off what a good portion of pro shops use and its ability to connect with nearly all truck computers. As far as where to purchase it doesnt really matter because nexiq controls the prices. You may can get a few extras purchasing from diesel laptops amazon store. |
