RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - windowrattler - 04-08-2025 Where are you seeing the voltage spikes? Sensors that are 5 volts can have a rub through to a 12 volt wire causing them to be high. Otherwise for stuff over 14 volts you basically have injector drivers/wiring that is running higher voltage. You could remove the belt or wire for the alternator to take it out of the equation. Also when checking with key on engine off do you have voltage spikes? RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - RAS041 - 04-08-2025 [attachment=9851] photos, hope yall can see. [attachment=9852] [attachment=9853] RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - Rawze - 04-09-2025 Maybe you need a new engine wiring harness?. RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - gzuniga00 - 04-09-2025 Like stated before get a schematic for the harness it’ll be your best bet trying to figure out what’s going on, and have a good multi meter as well. RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - RAS041 - 04-09-2025 OK, I’ll do some digging today I do have the schematic off Quickserve I will have to take a closer look at it. I was thinking about an engine harness. I didn’t know if that was too dramatic. That would more than likely correct the situation if ECM output is correct or at least rule it out. I had to re-pin a couple of connectors like the map sensor. There’s one ground that I don’t like that I’m going to redo completely. Also from one of Rawze videos I realize I need to check my cables and wires first 6 inches at each connection for corrosion more closely. Not just what I can see. It’s a New England truck so you already know. I’m from Connecticut. Thank you so much for your input. It finally stopped raining up here. I’ll let you know what happens when its resolved. It seems like a dirty Connection or touching/crossed wire as you stated. I disconnected the parts in question and no change.Maybe ECM or controller is going bad. I’ll test the ECM pins for its output voltage to rule that out. Time to learn my trucks wiring system in depth, slow down and be a little more methodical. I was chasing it with my multimeter. I need a more clear understanding and more data points. And I just wanna say it’s really cool to see some good honest people lending each other a hand. I’m actually blown away. You do not see this nowadays. RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - gzuniga00 - 04-09-2025 my #1 thing that I look for with multiple dtc's is battery connections and proper voltage to sensors, check diagram to see if the sensors share a common 5 volt from the ecm. for example on the isb 6.7 and 5.9 in the connon rail ram trucks'a bad fan clutch can cause a crank no start and multiple dtc's because it shares a 5 volt reference with the rail pressure sens map and intake air temp sens RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - Notch - 04-09-2025 I believe the 4 post solenoid in the photo is the intake grid heater control solenoid, FWIW. RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - RAS041 - 04-09-2025 Grid Heater, Ahhhh okay Ill confirm and keep in mind, get the multimeter and really study my wiring schematic and find common link in circuitpossibly before I go chasing the issue. When I test the sensor wires even the map sensor they are getting 7 V in, which is high and could skew the readings, and give the high voltage in return line.075v. The Issues have been a blessing in disguise, teaching me quite a bit about my truck thus far. Electrical is not my strong suit, the power and signal wiring are less complex in machinery Im familiar with. Not my strong suit. Thanks again. RE: re-calibrated my 2017 FL m2 106 6.7 isb and now Electric faults are showing? - windowrattler - 04-09-2025 Is the truck actually demandated and the reflash went over the tune causing the errors? EDIT: My eyes saw only the emission errors and not the couple other ones so this is probably not the case. |
