Ok, ran overhead. Runs about the same, maybe a little bit smoother but maybe I'm just telling myself that.
At least I know it's done
It still shakes, So You have to really listen to it to hear it but when it's idling it what it sounds like to me ,randomly misses.
I'm starting to believe it's injectors and if so if I think I'm going to try to switch myself. I THINK lol
I haven't priced cummins but I think there around 600? There is a place around here that sells some for 400 a piece but I don't want to do it more than once .
I realize it could be several things. But the cam looks good,all the rollers were even and smooth. No pits of anything. It really didn't look like it had a million miles but then again I've never messed with big trucks before .
I have checked the actuators and they weren't worn out and they were clean.

.014" intake valve
.027" exhaust valve
.276" exhaust brake
All of those are cold settings.

How about removing fuel metering/actuators for a cleaning and wear test? If that is plausible there is reference to that somewhere.

You need to also do a leak test on your injectors...

Got the leak test ordered from cummins.
When they did the cut out test and pressure test it passed. Which I know don't mean anything.
It shakes more under a load to the point were u let off throttle cause u don't want to hurt it. And feels lIke it's underpowered.

I would suggest you take it to Mr. Hag, Unilevers, or gearhead to get it checked out instead of guessing all the time. It sounds like you are wasting a lot of effort when you could simply go have it fixed.

Kens shop is in Indiana I think. I think that is where Unilevers sends a lot of people, not sure.
