RE: 10 speed with a 3.70 or 3.90? - Chamberpains - 08-22-2018 FYI, I did a real quick search on eBay and found the complete service manuals for the Volvo engines and whatever that VCADS heavy truck program and interface is. RE: 10 speed with a 3.70 or 3.90? - Volvo8873 - 08-22-2018 You can get everything on PTT’s website (premiumtechtool) RE: 10 speed with a 3.70 or 3.90? - Redland1 - 08-23-2018 Called around the Mack dealers and got quoted $1300 for injector cups and $3000 for injectors and cups.Labor included.Full In frame wit turbo, injectors and so on are $20 grand.Everyone of the shop managers I spoke to told me that a million miles is very common on them. RE: 10 speed with a 3.70 or 3.90? - Redland1 - 08-24-2018 How about 3.42’s,10 speed, and 450 hp for pulling flatbed? RE: 10 speed with a 3.70 or 3.90? - Chamberpains - 08-25-2018 That's not all that great for fuel mileage and longevity of an ISX. I have a 10 speed with 3.55's and it's "all right" keeping my RPM's at a respectable level while in 10th... about 1300 @ 60mph. With 3.42's you'll probably find yourself driving in 9th a lot or being forced to drive faster to get the RPM's up and burn more fuel in 10th. When my freind went to get the air compressor for his d13, they told him water pump, injectors, and air compressor every 100k miles. But then again his particular d13 has had water pump, radiator, injectors and cups, 2 egr coolers, an egr valve 3 wire harness' and now the air compressor in 220k miles. Makes sense to me now why the original company parked it at 60k untill they found a sucker to buy it... [attachment=4174] This has become a very common sight RE: 10 speed with a 3.70 or 3.90? - Redland1 - 08-25-2018 (08-25-2018 )Chamberpains Wrote: That's not all that great for fuel mileage and longevity of an ISX. I got a 12 isx that's been f*xed and a 10spd and 3.42 rears I usually run with 40k in a reefer and been averaging 7 ever since, I'd say not too bad for what I do. |
