RE: Fuel in oil - Joker0916 - 01-11-2020 It appeared to be around the gear area. Need to retorque and repeat dye test. Yes reman pump and new gasket. Surface looked fine. Thnx RE: Fuel in oil - Signature620 - 01-12-2020 It will probably have a crack in the head between a valve guide and an injector bore. Spray brake cleaner around the injectors and look for cracks. RE: Fuel in oil - Joker0916 - 01-21-2020 Still fighting this issue. I had all 6 injectors rebuilt. Decided to take pump off and have another look. I can't tell if it is cracked but looks like a lot of wear where the o ring seals. Should I replace the IFSM? How can I post pics? I know you said money is tight right now but it would be even tighter if your engine blew a rod through the side of the block, or if you cracked a piston right? These are things you need anyway if your going to own a truck. Have you use this adapter in the link? I guess you recommend it or you would not have posted the link right? I may need this myself. Although I'm not to sure what it does or how to work it lol. Practice makes perfect. I think most do. Where did you you get a connection to a Japanese (land of the rising sun) inline? Ha ha ha, got my Asian country's mixed up. I meant China not Japan. RE: Fuel in oil - tree98 - 01-22-2020 Just spoke to joker0916 on the phone. He was having trouble posting pics here of his IFSM so i'm gonna put them up for him. As mentioned, he's getting a lot of fuel in the oil. I'll let him elaborate on what he's done so far. [attachment=6138] [attachment=6139] [attachment=6140] [attachment=6141] RE: Fuel in oil - Joker0916 - 01-22-2020 New reman injection pump. Had all 6 injectors rebuilt. Fuel was dripping from stop solenoid so I replaced it. I didn't have a inch pound torque and wasn't sure if pump was tight enough. Tightened it more and it got worse. I have dye tested 4 times. Couldn't find anything up top. I got a used IFSM and now have torque specs and a inch pound torque wrench. Does anyone know what the small fuel line on the IFSM goes to? It is under the stop solenoid on the right. It goes to something mounted on the block behind the fuel filter. I blew air in that port and it goes to the center of the fuel filter. The new one must be from a older engine. It does not have it. Not sure if It will work or not. Can that line hook somewhere else, or be plugged? |
