RE: oil filters - Magard - 03-28-2020 JimT you do realize that if a grease zerk doesn’t take grease you will never know until it’s to late. I would hit it myself with a grease gun ever once in a while just to make sure everything is taking grease. Been using extreme 15/40 synthetic blend. I get it at a steal of a price. Also I use one gallon of 80w90 gear oil at each oil change. Thx for input. Extreme ? is that the brands official name? yeah im gonna stick to fleetguard. Also i believe those that are using gear oil in there engines. Im still on the fence about it. When new they are tight, have to back them off just a tad to be able to get them back off the grease fitting. Didn't take long and grease is coming out the sides when you are trying to grease. Usually when a grease fitting doesn't want to take grease it is because it hasn't been greased enough. See this slot in machines that work in the dirt. Let us know how the grease gun end works out. |
