Every guy with laptop is diesel doctor.I ran some oversize from a NJ Port a while back. I used a really nice guy for the escorts. But he escorted also, and we talked some over the two weeks. I called him to settle up my bill and he was somewhere with a super load broke down. He said the pipes blew off the turbo. I asked and he said it was a red engine, I remarked it was a bad delete. He didn't understand so I briefly explained bad deletes. He called me back and said that the driver said that yes it was deleted but it's right because this big place did it It is right because a big place did it, it’s right for their pockets, it’s right if you ask them, and it’s the right way to f**** up an engine. Since I’ve started helping guys with this I’ve seen one… literally one engine that was running in the proper operating mode in any engine that I’ve checked for someone. Like rawze says repeatedly if they were to call the guys that tuned it and ask them which operating mode their engine was running in they would come off with some slick bullshit. They always do. It’s just because they don’t know. They pay a couple grand to attend a winols class…. Find a way to turn sensors and components off, block the fault codes that are left over and send you on your way with your pockets a lil lighter and theirs a lil fatter….. that is the game truck owners are fighting. But since most truck operators can’t tune their trucks how will they ever know to argue with these crooks about it? RE: The Diesel-Doctor strikes again... - snailexpress - 03-19-2023 And most tuners came out of "Cummins certified" shop. One my friend i did help him with MM almost decade ago call me to re flash ECM. I asked what happens. His engine stall on the road and was towed to "Cummins certified shop" Mechanic did diagnostic and found camshaft speed sensor faulty. Replaced sensor. Still no signal. Advised to replace ECM but declined to work on tuned truck until all EPA systems restored . When I came to check what is wrong found sensor wasn't installed properly deep, O-ring was jammed. Reinstalled sensor and engine fires up. Wiggled sensor plug and signal went intermittent. Disassembled plug and fixed contacts. That all. Shop charged my friend almost 2 grands for nothing. BTW friend truck running version MM I believe H or J without any problems. |
