RE: Hard shift high to low range - Pigpen 2869 - 05-16-2017 Put that liquid cooler in the scrap pile. Find a nice romantic place to hang a air one. I have seen more failed transmissions from those things that it is not funny. It's on my list. :) RE: Hard shift high to low range - Mrkentee - 05-25-2017 Well, I replaced: Filter/regulator O-rings in range selector valve Slave valve and hoses. Still does it. I can prevent it if I slow to 5 mph. Eventually I must pull rear accessory case off and check synchros. If I listened to the local transmission/rear end shop, I'd be dropping her off for one of their rebuilt transmissions. Hopefully just replace synchros. Unless I take it to someone, I'll need the right jack to do it. RE: Hard shift high to low range - Unilevers - 05-25-2017 there is only one big syncro. unfortunately it is the weak spot, BUT you can just rebuild the back box and slap it back on the tranny. done lots of em and it works fine. RE: Hard shift high to low range - little john - 05-25-2017 I've put air tool oil in that line to lube shifter before. Dont know if that's your trouble or not but won't hurt anything |
