RE: The Mothership needs an MPG Boost - jorden486 - 05-30-2016 What's so bad about 3.36 rears? My two new pete's have 3.25 with super singles. They run at 1300 at 65 mph and rarely downshift going up hills. Avg65-70k on a car hauler. RE: The Mothership needs an MPG Boost - brothermothership - 05-30-2016 Amazing what a greaae job can do....mileage went up to 6.8 and hit 7 for a while. Brakes must have b been binding a bit. Oil temps are too high ( 226+ most ofl the time ) Rawze was right about the bad airflow. Going to go synthetic next oil change. Anybody use Lubrication Engineers products? RE: The Mothership needs an MPG Boost - brothermothership - 06-04-2016 Looks like the Mothership is loosening up, I am getting a consistent 7 mpg loaded after getting the oil changed and fuel filters replaced. This is on level, slightly rolling terrain. The truck is getting better. |
