I got me a gasket rawze. What's the process of removing the head from the pump? The 4 Allen bolts?

I have no idea. Never done it. -- I know that Mr. hag has done a whole lot of them though.

No you dont need to touch allen bolts. There are 4 12mm bolts. You need to follow manual from quickserve.

Also there are good videos from cummins how to inspect head and install plungers
Head inspection:

How to install plungers:

When you put back tappets to the pump make sure you put in same orientation. Each tappet has grove, it has to go to the guide pin in the pump body. The guide pins can be easy turned with finger and have to be in vertical position. Otherwise you can damage the pump.

You can always go to quickserv.com and register your engine ser#. its free and you can find any part you want to, diagrams, drawings, etc.

RE: 2250 low rail pressure code - loghauler - 08-12-2017

Update: Following procedures from quickserve, I put 40 psi into the head. 1 plunger stayed up and passed the test. The other plunger immediately dropped after pressurizing. Do I need a new pump head?

RE: 2250 low rail pressure code - simon999 - 08-12-2017

Yes that means check valves not working properly. Replace head with new plungers and barrels.
