That is part of the adjustable features and parameters and if someone did not back them up and restore them properly, or has set the wrong address for it, then it can have some problems like your describing. I had to do this with this last truck I bought and it had the correct programming and came configured from kenworth this way. You can also enable exhaust high temp. light and choose at what temp. and speed its allowed to come on. Thank you very much Mr. Schism, I appreciate you mentioning the exhaust high temp light since mine never comes on. What temp, and speed you recommend it to come on?
