Hollow the can completely. <------ That is the only way to prevent future issues with exhaust restriction due to a piece breaking off further down the road. Will be a real pain in the a$$ to fully hollow, but would cost you much more in time and lost revenue if you have an issue with a piece breaking loose and getting crossed up before exiting.

Alright.. It took a lot of effort, but I managed to finally take the DPC off also.
Gonna take it home today and hollow it out like a did the DPF.

Is it alright to program the milk2 onto the EMC while the cans are off?
And then test run the truck on the lot while the cans are off also?

I am scared to try this at home. You are braver than I am. It's the programming of the truck that worries me. I don't trust my laptop.

Guess when you don't have a choice you do what you have to.

Programmed truck could care less if theirs any exhaust on truck. I programmed my truck 200 miles from the house then drove home and blew out the cans

I hope you do a better job of hollowing out those cans. There are plenty of stories of guys having major engine problem from restricted exhaust because they half assed hollowing them out.

The milk guide said to leave about an inch around on the diameter of the DPF, so that if someone taps on the can it doesn't sound hollow.
And it also said not to take too much off of the DOC because it will make the exhaust loud.

Is there any warning signs that would tip me off to whether I had a restricted exhaust flow?

Low boost / low power.... excessive heat (if you have a pyro to monitor egt)

I bought a pyrometer and a boost gauge.

I will hollow the cans out a little more. I will try to keep intact a nice evenly sized 1-inch ring around the circumference.

I've got a ProStar with Cummins ISX 450ST CM871
And Cummins Turbo Part# 4309076RX

I'm almost done the milk2 process.
I need to tweak the min and max closing tables for my turbocharger.
Can anyone send the Excel document named "Some Common Boost tables.xls"

Apparently, it is mentioned in the milk2 guide, but it was not included with it.
