Bought demandated isx, issues tune related?? - BarelyAbleFarms - 09-27-2025 So I purchased a 07 9400 with a isx that was demandated. The neighbor claimed to have the tools and have connections to tune it. So I took a chance with him. 4k later the truck still has all the issues it had before. Let me break down what I'm experiencing. Rough starts, warm and cold Very jerky throttle through all the gears. Impossible to drive smoothly. But sitting still is seems to rev up smoothly. Inconsistent rev governor. 16k, thru 19k randomly. Cruise does the same All this makes it very difficult to drive, and I'd rather drive anything but this truck. What ive tried, new speedo sensor. New throttle sensor. New back pressure sensor. New boost and barometric sensor. Or whatever it's called. The only code my scanner comes up with is exhaust back pressure sensor erratic, incorrect. Pid131fm12 I'm really curious if anyone has an idea where to look. Or if someone a quality time could fix. And if so, who would be recommended to get the tuning from. Thanks in advance for the help. RE: Bought demandated isx, issues tune related?? - Cartman - 09-28-2025 check quickserve online for your fault code issue (2554),but definitely learn how to send a copy of that ecm to rawze for a review RE: Bought demandated isx, issues tune related?? - BarelyAbleFarms - 09-28-2025 (09-28-2025 )Cartman Wrote: check quickserve online for your fault code issue (2554),but definitely learn how to send a copy of that ecm to rawze for a review Would you be able or willing to help me with that? I assume I'll need a PC and adapter to connect to the truck. RE: Bought demandated isx, issues tune related?? - Cartman - 09-28-2025 Have a look in isx related help there's alot of threads there that will explain what you need to do RE: Bought demandated isx, issues tune related?? - Rawze - 09-28-2025 - It could be programming related, and it could be other issues. 2007 was a transitional year for a lot of vehicle makers ... It being a 2007 model, it could be a CM870? or a CM871? engine (or something else). What is the engine ser#?... the ESN#? Also, are you saying that it revs up on its own at idle?. - If so then that is a specific issue and may not be a problem with the programming, but who knows for sure without troubleshooting it. and yeas.. as soon as you can, you need to get a computer hooked up to that thing and copy the program out so that it can be reviewed for issues and to ensure its not eating the guts out of the engine over time (causing progressive damage). Is it possible to get an insite7 and just have it tuned from scratch, from someone here that is reputable? Does that thing have a boost gauge?.. if so then monitor the boost as its acting up too. - it could be the turbo hanging up near 100% closed and then choking the power / rev off. Being it is a CM870 ... you can always have the programming flashed back to 100% factory and unplug the EGR temp sensor.. putting the ecm into its it in non-egr operating mode that way. CEL (check engine light) will be on and it will have a slight boost derate but not a power derate (boost will go to 36 or so then drop back to 32 and hold). Then run it like that, at least it will be safe, until you figure out its other issues. I have a scan tool that shows live data. I could try that. I went ahead a sent in a pm, see if he is interested in lending me a hand. By factory, I would have to remove the ECU and take to the dealer? That might be an option I would consider. I would like to know the truck is safe to run and that would be a good step.
