Personally, I think the article's tone is wrong any ways. - It touts that people are wanting to hack their vehicles get better power and/or fuel mileage ... but the reality is that most people resort to removing those systems because it causes WAAAAYYY to much down-time, high repair costs associated with them, and has put many truck owner out of business, simply running off to the stealers$its and wasting moneys on aftertreatment systems that they themselves (the OEM stealers$its) cannot keep running properly due to poor training and everything about them kept in the dark.
