ISX PROPER ENGINE FLUSH - jonsgarage - 02-18-2026

So, i have ran into the notorious 559 code. I replaced the bottom half of the high pressure fuel pump and installed the new style tappets and plungers. I also replaced the oil pump, oil cooler, and mains and rod bearings just for piece of mind to get as much metal out of the engine. Ive been reading all the forums i cant find on how to properly flush the engine from all the conatmination. I saw rawze mention using a diesel/oil mix but dont see an exact "how to". Would it be sending the mix through the port on the oil filter head? Thats the way i saw how to properly prime the engine before start up on and old youtube video from rawze. I would think you do it from the same port but instead of fresh oil it would be the mix and after priming it with pure new oil. Any help on how to properly flush the engine would be appreciated
