Upgrade USB link for 2026 x15? - John Deere Boy - 03-21-2026

I have insite 7.6.2, China Inline5, and China Nexiq USB link. Just got a new 2026 pete x15 565. I've tried the Nexiq on the dash and on the deutsch plug on the engine. I get a power light but no data light, except for a yellow data light during connection attempts. Below is a picture of the connection protocols i've tried.

Do I need a newer scanner? What do you recommend? I'd like to be able to run the air handling test.

Is this engine called a 2450? Dataplate doesn't show it.

Thanks!

7.6.2 is very old, as is the inline 5. Rawze says he can connect to X15's with that old stuff but I don't know anyone else who can. I would buy a legit nexiq from snapon or fleetpride NOT Amazon or ebay. Then get a newer version of insite, something released in the last 5 or so years.

You need Cummins insite 9.0 and new to connect. I was able to connect with a genuine usb link 2 with Cummins insite 9.0

Rawze connected to mine by using the weatherpack connector on the engine harness. Had to get newer adapter (usb-link2) and newer Insite to go through the J1939 connector..

7.6.2 is so old that it will give you incorrect trouble code data and you have to cross check it with quickserve, you'll also be missing many test procedures for the newer engines. Just get newer insite and make your life easier
