Isb cm 2150 cruise issues. - Kiko - 06-10-2026 Hello all. I am struggling with a Cummins isb cm2150. Truck came to me with a dead ecm. Sent ecm away and had it rebuilt. When it came back we installed and truck was running. Had to make a few changes for speed sensor etc because truck has an automatic. Now problem we are having is they truck (Freightliner) has no cruise or engine brake. When I look on insite it tells me service brake is depressed. We know service brake switch is working because brake lights come on and off when using brake. I plug into cab module and it says service brake is released. There is a spot on the ecm plug for service brake but no wire to it. The ecm must be reading service brake switch via 1939 can. When I remove service brake switch from service on insite I get high idle back but still no cruise or engine brake. I thought it was internal in the ecm so got another and same problem. If my cab module is reading brake released how come engine is reading brake depressed. Any ideas. Thanks for any help. Calibration on Cummins quickserve appears to be ok with engine vin. It has been checked a few times. RE: Isb cm 2150 cruise issues. - Rawze - 06-10-2026 There is 2 sets of data in the ecm... A) - engine programming... containing everything engine needs to run properly. B)- Vehicle specific data that the vehicle manufacturer has set into the ecm. Things like the J1939 addresses for all buttons, brake pedal, accelerator pedal, tranny, gear ratios, all other vehicle-specific info, etc. etc. Sounds like 'B' is missing or has gotten lost along the way. - The only way to get it back is to take it to the vehicle maker to have it put back in from their records of when the vehicle was built. == Take the ecm off the vehicle and down to the vehicle dealership to have the vehicle info/data/addresses flashed back into the ecm. RE: Isb cm 2150 cruise issues. - Kiko - 06-11-2026 Thanks Rawze I’ll give that a try. I was thinking it could be changed in the parameters but nothing could be found. I appreciate your help. |
