Cummins Overlays - JeremyGailey - 08-31-2026

Good evening gents. I don't mean to bring up a topic that's been worn out but I'm looking for the most up to date information as possible. I work for a company that operates about 300 miles into the arctic circle. In total, we have over 1,000 pieces of equipment (counting heaters, light plants, gen sets). Due to the sub zero temperatures from November to May, our equipment runs and sometimes idles 24 hours a day. As you all know, idle time is not friendly on todays engine emission systems. We've had someone doing our emission solutions but we've had negative results. (active codes, lights, SEVERE performance issues) We are mostly a Cummins fleet, (now transitioning to Detroit) Does anyone know of a good supplier on overlays for ISX 870,871,2350,2450, ISL 2350? I've spent most of my years in a dealer network so this end of things is new. Until I can build enough knowledge to be able to identify a bad cal, I want to make sure that I'm being set up for success with quality overlays. I purchased {non-oem scan toool}, so far I,m happy with it, He also sells overlays but I wanted to reach out to some knowledgeable peers first.
Thank you, for any and all information.
Jeremy

Your asking for absolutely the wrong thing!.

Pre-made overlays and garbage that the idiots over on the truck tuning sites are using is precisely WHY more than 90% of all de-mandates are absolutely nothing but harmful trash!.

If you truly want to learn how this stuffs works and truly want to do it right,.. IT TAKES A BIT OF PROPER TRAINING AND UNDERSTANDING on how these engines work in the first place!. It is not rocket science,.. but it does take a few professional lessons, so that someone understands what they are looking at properly.

I would also suggest that you copy the programming out of one of those truck ECU's and e-mail it to me to get it properly reviewed and see what bafoonery someone has done in there!.
