Rods and Mains after 820k...take a look - preacherboy24 - 03-01-2016

Did my rods and mains and I'm glad I did. I believe the blackness in the bearing is soot impregnation.

much longer and you would likely have faced a spun bearing.

What did it cost to do the rod and mains? I'm almost a million miles. Steady oil pressure just like it was at 400k when I got the truck but I'm not wanting to take a chance either.

I spent $1200 in parts. I put a new oil pump in too. Russ put them in for less than $1000

Thank you. It may first on my list before injectors. It's scary to think of a bearing spinning. I always thought when the oil pressure changed to look at them but with this many miles maybe it's time regardless
