Cummins ISX 15 2250 - Garfeild - 01-28-2017

I have a 2012 386 Peterbilt with an ISX 15 2250. the engine light came on Friday the display showed boost pressure, I hooked it to insite and it is showing an active code of 0123 and an inactive code of 0691. I got it home and it never derated on me I could hear the turbo working but not as loud as usual but my manifold pressure gauge is at 0. Not a mechanic but trying to learn to fix things myself. Not real sure if it would be a sensor problem or if it might be the turbo. Can anyone give me some suggestions on where to start please?

Did you run those codes through Cummins Quickserve? Are you registered on Quickserve? If not, go do it, you will need your engine serial number.

FC 0123 is for the IMAP sensor.
here is some more info on it -> http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=181&pid=1087#pid1087

FC 691 is for turbo inlet temp sensor. Usually only comes up if the sensor has been unplugged or has a short in it.

Both those sensors will make the turbo act up.

Thanks for the reply, I did unplug that sensor. Do you think taking the IMAP sensor out and cleaning it would help fix the problem or a good place to start?

Clean the iMap sensor with a tooth brush, no liquids, and then go get yourself a new one on Monday.
