Wait starter cool down enforced - GhumanTruckService - 03-30-2017 Need help I just parked at the flying j and turned off my truck kenworth t660 2012 cummins isx15 and went inside after I came back my truck would not turn over like nothing would happen I turned the key and I got a code saying wait starter cool down enforced if anyone know what happened please let me know RE: Wait starter cool down enforced - Rawze - 03-30-2017 Haven't heard of an ISX doing that but plenty of Detroit DD15's. The starter on the DD15 is located on the exhaust side and would overheat due to bleed-off from the exhaust manifold if you shut if off after climbing a big hill. Sometimes they would not start for 20 minutes or more from it. RE: Wait starter cool down enforced - in2trux - 03-31-2017 The is a terminal off the starter relay for over crank protection, one wire. I left it off and wrapped up because we're smart enough to know not to do it. Thats on a 871,Pete Delco MT starter. Should be the same for Mitsu starter. |
