APU of a different breed - Jon Mastin - 06-13-2017

I did it. It works. It was well worth the time.

The mount uses the factory cab shock points and is nice and secure

I just have a simple mount for a generator for now.

And while I was at it i removed the heavy exhaust and turned it into a weed burner style.

A guy had a generator on his truck. Real nice set-up. But the fuel tank on the generator was removed. He had a split fuel tank for the truck. The side which would have had hydraulic oil had gas, and a 1 psi pump to supply the generator. Reason being, he said gravity fed gasoline systems were illegal on a truck.
Do you know anything about that?

It's OK to use generator fuel tank.
But something like [attachment=2850] is no-no

393.65 subsection d states

(d)Gravity or syphon feed prohibited. A fuel system must not supply fuel by gravity or syphon feed directly to the carburetor or injector.
