Hey guys looking to invest in tools/equipment to change out my own tires if needed on road. What jack, impact gun, bars etc do you guys recommend and where to buy from? I hate making that call to road side and getting charged waaaay to much. Or pulling into truck stop and having 5 trucks ahead of me just to fix a flat. Thanks

Still going to need a bigass torque wrench or breaker bar and torque adapter to put the thing back on.
I would have those tools at the shop, but on the road I would strive for tire longevity with a strong tire PM and replacement policy.

For years I used one of these. They come in different sizes so be aware.

In addition to this you'll need a bottle jack, the bigger tonnage the better, and a length of pipe about 3 - 4 feet long that can slip over the handle. If you have a mounted tire for a spare this is all you'll need not forgetting a lever to lift the tire onto the hub. If you have a loose tire you will also need another tire lever, a bead axe, some tire lube, valve core tool, possibly a blaster. It would probably be easier to have a mounted spare.

Wow you guys are hard core. If I have a flat that my plug kit and air hose can't fix I'm screwed. You guys should be loggers or something crazy like that. I do try and keep decent tires on so I don't have much trouble. Hats off to you.

I like to use a phone. I have a flat right now, picked up a huge bolt right in the middle of the tread on one of my trailer tires. It lasted long enough to get the load delivered, then she died. I'm now at the truck stop, I'll call the tire shop when I wake up tomorrow, I mean today. ;-)

WoW!... I just purchased these. Nice find!.
BTW: You don't really need a huge expensive torque wrench if all your trying to do is get yourself off the side of the road. Get the tire on, tighten the lugs good, head to a truck stop, and borrow one for a few minutes if need be. I have done this before. I always offer to show my drivers license and give em a few bucks for borrowing any tools.
