That is some good info, but those statements can be a bit too generic. Every truck maker has its own style of coolant sensors.

This is for 3 wires AC powered sensor. Just curios how Ph can affect plastic sensor? How sensor is working? Capacitance, inductive, supersonic?
On my old Volvo Lowe coolant was ON almost everyday.

Many of them are simply a float and a magnet type. The float gets stuck with gummed up coolant and sticks sometimes.
