Maintenance free filter - Oldad6150 - 06-21-2018

I put a maintenance free crankcase filter in 09 and now got check engine light is that a no no

Check the sensor on the filter box, it is at the 11 o’clock position. It may be time for a new one. I have had mine go bad and throw a code. Replaced, no more issues on my 08.

New sensor as well when put in filter. Put paper filter back in and no more check engine

That's not right...... Not at all.

The sensor detects being plugged, not high flow... Check the wiring around the sensor, it may be the fact that you disturbed a bad wire rather than the filter change....

truck would have to have some kind of serious blo-by issues for it to throw alarms with the maint.free filter.
