fifth wheel wrecker - bauer2568 - 08-20-2018

ive seen a standard truck pulling another truck with a device that hooks the fifth wheels together. im having trouble figuring out what they're called, searching fifth wheel wrecker gets results that cost 7-8000 dollars. im trying to find the simplest, cheapest, option to have in case i ever break down i can tow my truck home myself since i run local, and im sure the dot would have a field day if i was caught towing it with a chain lol

$7-10k seemed to be the ballpark when I looked into them. Once in a while you'll see one listed for less, but they go quick. Unless it's a long distance recovery, that would buy a lot of short tows.
