Solenoid Function Issue - barf - 10-15-2018

2009 ProStar; there is a 4 valve solenoid located inside left frame just ahead of the air dryer. The rear valve is for the air horn. The middle 2 are connected to some other kind of valve (in the picture) that goes to one valve. I don't know what these valves are for. My problem and question is that this pictured 3 way valve is leaking air. What is it's function and can it be replaced with just a 3 way valve or is it some kind of one-way thing? It's an audible leak and drains my tanks to about 50psi in an hour then stops leaking.

This was sort of discussed in another thread: http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=3002 but I thought it should be in "International Trucks" section.

That valve on mine is for the air actuated 5th wheel release. I did away with the air line to it as it doesn't work anyway.

Thanks Nilao, the 5th wheel slide is possibly what the front valve is on mine. This picture I showed is connected to the center two valves, and has air to it without any dash switch giving it air (like the 5th wheel slide switch or air horn button). I'm thinking maybe it supplies air to the suspension, and will dump air when the dump switch is on. But I'd still like to know why such a strange looking 3 way connector!

Tg3 labels on my solenoids under that say 5th wheel release. Its for my air actuared 5th wheel pin release. I have no clue why they used that valve in the design.

They must vary from truck to truck. On mine, the left one

Position 1, 2506713C91, A Horn, is obviously the air horn

Position 2, 2506712C91, Air Susp A, \ one of these is for dumping the
Position 3, 2506712C91, Air Susp B, / air suspension. I haven't figured it out yet,
but replacing that 3 way thing fixed my air leak

Position 4, 2506711C91, DCLD, I believe is for the rear axle locker (not PDL) because when the
module is unplugged my rear diff lock switch light blinks.

The local Int'l stealer told me that these modules can be replaced individually. The 2506712C91 was $113 CDN. I hate to think how much the entire unit is worth, but I have to figure out how to get the main supply push air connector to not leak.

They can configure multiple ways depending on options. Make sure you match the color of the ring. It is the identifier. The solenoid are different i.e. N.C vs N.O also the coils have different ohm values.

you can pop the ring out carefully and replace the o-ring inside the quick-connect fitting.

Spray some of this on the fitting and o-ring when re-installing...

It dries and hardens like a wax to protect and keep from dry-rotting.
