Sooooo when it starts acting up instead of babying it to the nearest shop ..fiddle with it. try the cruise control .. turn the jake on and off ...what your hoping for is having an effect. Stop in a safe place and get out pop the hood and tap on turbo ...egr ....wiggle wire loom ....

None of that does anything. It can be sitting by itself idling and straighten up with no one touching it

Jerry Mckneely test drove a truck today doing the exact same thing that mine is doing. He said it's the Jake solenoid

Jerry says it doesn't have to be on for it to do this

They are easy to test ....if you go to cummins quick serve it gives you two values of ohms ...one for when hot one for if engine is cold.

Different animal .....they do operate under the same principal but there are stages and the third stage uses your turbo and computations from ecm.

this is my cm2250 jake head there are two of them (front and rear) you can see the selinoid, two wires, to test you check ohms on them. you can pull them out and there is a screen on orifice at bottom make sure its clean (screen kinda just pops off)

Yea I just posted that video to see what they are talking about. I'm surprised there isn't anything on the 2250
