De-mandated... Sensor Question - bossboy2 - 01-15-2019

It's coming up on a year since I changed the IMAP in my DD13. After a de-mandate, does that sensor still need to be changed?

RE: De-mandated... Sensor Question - Rawze - 01-15-2019

If the computer in a vehicle does not know the accurate intake air pressure and temp, then it cannot magically calculate the proper fuel-air mix.

incorrect reading IMAP = effeciency losses.

worse case scenario... A person replaces it and no changes in engine operation or efficiency occur ... They now have a spare sensor in for use in troubleshooting, or to give to someone else to see if it fixed a problem they might be having.

I am a hypermiler, so I replace mine once a year just to ensure I am not loosing soemthing.
