2000 - N14 Front Seal - kozakvod - 01-30-2019 Looking for possible why's. A buddy of mine has a 2000 N14. He just put his 3rd front seal in 4 years. He said it'll stay sealed up no leaks for a week or two and then it slowly starts leaking, getting worse over time. Anyone with any ideas why he keeps losing the front seal? Thank you. RE: 2000 - N14 Front Seal - RocketScott - 01-30-2019 Did he replace the wear sleeve on the crank? Make sure everything is totally clean too, wipe everything down with brake parts cleaner. The newer seals use teflon. It's designed to transfer a layer of teflon to the crank when it's run for the first time. If there's oil in there the teflon won't transfer |
