Hey guys,
Are the turbos on these 2 engines the same? First 2 pictures are from the 09.

No, the cm2250 uses a smsller turbo than the cm871. I believe the exhaust manifold is slso different.
The 2250 uses a HE400VG series and the cm871 uses a HE500VG series if i am not mistaken...

I think your looking at the same model engines. Both cm871. Top 1 is an original with a cpl# of 2733 and the bottom 1 is a cummins remanufactured engine with a build date of 11/22/12 and a cpl# 2732
Check the part numbers on the turbo's they'll probably be the same turbo HE500VG but depending on what trucks they came out of, the mountings may be different.
