CM2250/CM2350 Fuel Pump - Jose9640 - 05-11-2019

Ive been reading up on the infamous fuel pump issue. I have a cm2250 that has 200k on new motor and had the fuel pump updated. I just bought a cm2350 with 600k. what has to be done to correct this issue? I see there is a rebuild kit. is this some type of aftermarket deal or a cummins part?

I bought My rebuild kit from cummins it was very cheap they use to be like 3 or 400 and now if I remember they are like $40 I could be wrong but I know for sure not more than $100- I have the 2350 engine as well in 2014 kw

I am thinking you have some serious mis-calculation in those prices there.

I would never put an after-market part in my engine as a critical component that can cause engine destruction,.. so i would say stay away from any after-market fuel system components for sure.

As far as part#'s and prices go, maybe someone can elaborate with some actual part#'s etc.

Im not really worried about the price. I just want to get it done right. So I need the tappets, barrels, plungers and the seal washer correct?

RE: CM2250/CM2350 Fuel Pump - Unilevers - 05-12-2019

for a 2250 (there are slightly different barrels/plungers for a 2350)

Barrel and plungers - 4327258 - 80$ x 2
Pump tappet - 4359134 - $125 x 2
pump head gasket - 2872513 - $20 x1
banjo washer - 3962988 - x2
banjo washer - 3963990 - x2

this gives you a idea
