Last straw - Lonestar10 - 09-17-2019

Had on two sections of a steel power pole for a total of 22000 lb passed a truck hauling a full load of shingles hit a small hill not even a big hill and literally the load of shingles that was most likely 80,000 lb passed my 56000 pound ass.

Calling Mr Hagg tomorrow to see when he has time for me to head down there and see the pros and get this piece of crap running the way it should be.

He was probably running 3:90 gears, RPMs buried and his pyro hitting 1300+ degrees...

RE: Last straw - Lonestar10 - 09-17-2019

I have 370 gears had my foot to the floor at 1600 RPMs and something around 650 degrees

Plus always running with it kicking the fan on engine oils always 230 235°. I stopped for fuel and don't turn the fan on whatever I entered the truck stop at is what the truck will stay at while fueling

Yes please don't hide the results of this. I've been following it since you brought up that it was wedged different by half a degree. I'd love to know what's up with it.

Cummins does talk about using differnt wedges too dial in the injection timing in the service manual, if you search wedges the first result for static timing is were they mention it.

Personally i think, if ypu have too go through the effort of using dofferent wedges to dial things in. Something aint right you stuff is wore out or you go shi#t parts or the wrong parts.
