CM2250 with 581,000 miles I was doing a complete PM oil and grease and as I was checking my crankcase filter, I noticed it has this milky residue

i haven't experienced it myself, but that's probably coolant getting in to the oil.

if you start and stop and let engine cool then reheat alot could be condensation. pull valve cover see if its there also and check the inside of the oil fill cap.
