Water Pump leaking - PuroCumminsPower - 07-06-2016
Sony water pump started leaking today. Picking up pump and o rings today. Can anyone give me some advice on what has to be taken off to get to the pump? It's an 09 PROSTAR with Cummins. Thanks.

I haven't done one of these on a Prostar but on most 871's you can save a lot of time by just buying the cartridge portion of the water pump and changing that (only 4 easy to reach bolts). If you have the whole pump assembly you can just remove the cartridge from it and do the same. If you do that though, I recommend buying a new o-ring for the cartridge.

I'm just finishing up doing my water pump on my 08 Prostar. ... bit of a job, that's fir sure.
