I was up at the TA in Dexter MI the other day talking to the shop manager, Chris. He told me that set of Dayton drive tires I bought are now on sale for $2667.00 out the door, or $333.37 a tire, that is mounted and not including any monies they will give you for your old casings. I think that is a heck of a deal. I paid a few dollars more, around $2800 out the door. He did not know about the upcoming sale, or he would have had me wait to purchase... No big deal, they help me out quite a bit and let me in the shop to help and do quite a bit of extra off the book stuff for me, and I do tip.
Anyhow... I thought I would pass this on if any of you are looking for a new set of SmartWay drive tires, these are made by Bridgestone. They are the D610D, they ride incredibly smooth with no noise. I really like these tires, hopefully they are good in the snow. I know they handled some monsoon rain we had here with ease, no hydroplaning and good grip on the road with a lite load, under 10,000 lbs in the dry van. Also, the fuel mileage is a bit improved too... Time will tell, but I did see a couple points increase on the computer in the dash.
