Is the preferred sealant to use for the flywheel housing gasket still (Permatex aviation sealant)?

the gasket is designed to be installed without sealant from what I understand. here is the procedure...

That being said, it is not unusual for someone to dust a tiny bit of "Anaerobic Flange Sealant" on the gasket to help it seal...

Permatex is my preferred sealant. Holds well and cleans off easily next time. Don't pour it on, just a lick on both sides of the gasket.
