Air your own tires? You need this Tire Inflator w/Gauge! - Waterloo - 02-27-2016 This has got to be the coolest tire inflator/gauge on the market! I love this thing! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NMCEYU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage What I like about this tire gauge/inflator is that it is solid aluminum construction, very accurate, has a quick connect for the tire air stem and a nice 21" hose so you are not on your knees! And that is what makes the cost of this unit worth every penny, no more kneeling in someone's piss in the truck stop parking lot! For an airline/hose, I bought the Yellow rubber non kink air hose that Love's sells with the glad hand attachment, the most expensive one they sell, I think it was around $20. If you buy that hose at Love's, you will need some teflon tape and some wrenches. The hose leaks like a sieve until you disassemble and apply the teflon tape to fix the leaks. Yes, annoying, but that hose is the BOMB! It will not kink and it is very easy to roll up quickly. I keep all of this in a duffle bag I purchased at Love's. You will need to purchase the quick connect pieces for both the hose and the inflator, just to let you know. It uses the standard 1/4 inch ones. Hope this helps! RE: Air your own tires? Mine is solid, used it a few weeks ago, no issues. Maybe you got a bad one? But, the gauge itself is the bomb. If my end broke like yours, I would just repair it. To nice of a unit to toss out. I use one that has a slide bar for the gauge. |
